Mark III GMT

$349.00

The Mark III GMT represents the culmination of all that my brother Zachary and I have learned from our two previous successful Kickstarter campaigns, hundreds of watch reviews on our WatchesOnYou YouTube channel, and an immense amount of customer feedback and requests.

With this model, we sought to approach a new complication for Höglund & Sons, the GMT (second time zone), with the combination of functionality and discretion that the brand has come to be known for.

The Movement

We investigated several movement options for this watch, and it became clear that the reliability and functionality of the Seiko NH34 movement was ideal for the Mark III due to its:

  • GMT and date functionality.

  • Ability to be wound using the motion of the wearer's wrist.

  • 41 hour power reserve (without any wrist winding).

  • Hacking/Stopping-seconds feature, which allows for more precise time setting by stopping the motion of the seconds hand while the minute, hour, and GMT hands are being set.

  • Extensive track record of reliability.

The Case

The case of the Mark III GMT is milled from stainless steel and features scratch-resistant sapphire front and caseback crystals. The case has a diameter of 38 mm, a lug-width of 19 mm, a lug-to-lug length of 45 mm, and a thickness of 12.75 mm.

The caseback features a laser-engraved timezone scale, which is helpful for setting the second timezone function. This is also a tribute to the first Höglund and Sons model which had the same feature and features Minneapolis in bold in place of Chicago to honor our hometown.

The watch has a 100 m water resistance rating and each watch is individually tested to this depth prior to shipment.

All watches will include both a blue cloth pin buckle strap and a steel mesh bracelet.

The crown is signed with an "H."

The Dial

The watch features Swiss Super-Luminova on all hands and indices, offering a significant improvement from previous Höglund & Sons models.

All hour indices are applied rather than painted and the dial has a glossy finish with rich text coloration for maximum visibility.
